I was born in Greenpond, Alabama. I moved to Texas when I was fifteen. Later, I was educated at Lamar University where I earned a master's degree in clinical psychology. They offered me the chance to teach one summer class and I stayed for 10 years. While teaching, I also spent time opening and maintaining clinical practices in various Texas locations including: Port Arthur, Vidor, and Spring.
After an early retirement, I felt the urge to write about some of my clinical experiences, especially concerning the children I worked with. My first novel, The Children of Main Street, focuses on Katie Collier, a therapist who would do anything for the those she loves. The Children of Main Street is a work of fiction and debuted November 15 , 2018, published by Firefly Southern Fiction.
The sequel, God Bless the Child, will be released on October 15, 2019.
This is a wonderful Christian story. This is not a book for the faint-hearted since it deals with some very serious issues, but the one thing you will understand is that God has his hand in the story. The book will steal your heart and really is a must read.
